Painting under the pseudonym ‘CiCi,’ Irish mixed-media artist Claire O’Shea, resides on the Southwest coast of Ireland. CiCi’s unique style is recognizable for its energetic compositions and saturated use of bold colours. 

Her polychromatic art is also known for its versatility, as she seamlessly transitions from abstract to portrait and figurative art.

CiCi's expressive mixed media art is an emotive response and hopeful antidote to world and personal events. Nature, particularly the sea, plays a significant role, reflecting her upbringing on the wild Atlantic coast. Life is Neon
Solo Exhibition

Kinsale; Sept 2023

Celebrating life, nature and energy in vibrant colour... the exhibition launched on Culture night, Friday 22nd September with lively atmosphere and people encouraged to wear fun, bright colours to the event. 

Located in the heart of Kinsale, Co.Cork, the event was spread over three rooms with over 50 artworks in total, most of which the artist completed in 2023.

'Life is Neon' was Claires' first solo exhibition showing a selection of her  mixed media works including collage, portraits, wildlife scenes and abstract artworks.

During her work on this collection CiCi has been considering issues such as climate change and mental health, while also pushing the boundaries of her energetic style. The aim being to change and grow herself as an artist, but also to  inspire change in others by uplifting the senses.
